Egg Donation

EGG DONATION GIVES INFERTILE COUPLES A CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE PREGNANCY WHEN THE FEMALE PARTNER IS UNABLE TO USE HER OWN EGGS TO BECOME PREGNANT.

THE EMBRYO THAT RESULTS FROM THE FERTILIZED DONOR EGG AND THE INTENDED FATHER’S SPERM IS TRANSFERRED INTO THE INTENDED MOTHER’S UTERUS FOR IMPLANTATION.

In the United States, egg donation has become more common in fertility clinics.  The first successful egg donation case was reported in 1983 in Australia.  Approximately ten years ago, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine reported 6,600 cases of egg donation per year (this number does not include donated embryos). “The number of cycles performed using donor eggs or embryos increased almost 32% from 15,175 in 2004 to 19,988 in 2013”, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions National Summary published in October 2015.

Options in Conception’s anonymous egg donor program works within the guidelines of anonymity to protect both the donors and the recipients during their treatment program. We do not use our donor’s first names and we always encourage donors to submit pictures from their childhood, teenage years, and glamour shots to further enhance anonymity. However, no egg donor program can guarantee anonymity.  OIC takes the greatest of precautionary measures to ensure your privacy.
